Type Locality and Naming

Along the Padask River, Turkestan Ridge. A.I. Minakov, A.S. Shadchnev in 1970 based on materials by M.M. Posokhova (1970, p. 77).

Synonym:


Lithology and Thickness

Polymictic sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), carbonaceous-clayey slates. In some descriptions, basic composition volcanites are noted within the suite (1970). Thickness 500-800 m.


Lithology Pattern: 
Fine-grained sandstone


Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

It lies conformably on the terrigenous rocks of the Kshutadak Fm

Upper contact

It is conformably overlain by the Garibak Fm.

Regional extent

Interfluve and southern slope of the Turkestan Ridge, valley of the Zarafshan River.
