Type Locality and Naming
Along the Padask River, Turkestan Ridge. A.I. Minakov, A.S. Shadchnev in 1970 based on materials by M.M. Posokhova (1970, p. 77).
Synonym:
Lithology and Thickness
Polymictic sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), carbonaceous-clayey slates. In some descriptions, basic composition volcanites are noted within the suite (1970). Thickness 500-800 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It lies conformably on the terrigenous rocks of the Kshutadak Fm
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain by the Garibak Fm.
Regional extent
Interfluve and southern slope of the Turkestan Ridge, valley of the Zarafshan River.

Late Llandovery age based on graptolites - *Pseudoplegmatograptus obesus* Lapw., *Petalolithus ovatus* (Barr.), *Rastrites fugax* Barr., *Spirograptus minor* Bouček, *Monograptus priodon* (Bronn.), *Monoclimacis griestonensis* (Nicol.), *Pristiograptus nudus* Lapw., *Stromatograptus grandis* (Suess.), *Oktavites spiralis* (Geinitz.) (1970).
